Updated COVID-19 Safety Measures — As communicated last week, safety measures hav been modified in light of current events. We’ll reassess these measures on January 18th. Here’s what you can expect:
- Masks are now mandatory in common areas AND on the mats. Please reach out to us if you have a medical concern or exemption.
- No Spectators allowed
- We’ll continue to check for proof of vaccination for those 22 and over
Colour Belt Test — The next test is scheduled for Sunday, February 13th
2022 Provincial Referee Certification — We’re so excited to announce that PMTKD will be hosting this year’s referee certification and refresher seminar on Sunday, February 6th, 1:30pm – 8:30pm. The seminar will review current kyorugi (sparring) rules and interpretations. The seminar is for those who’d like to become new referees as well as current referees certifying to the next provincial class. Register online on the BC Taekwondo Federation site
Sunday Combat Classes — We’ll be keep you updated on when combat striking and grappling will resume. We’ll be offering more details on the program and cost in the next week.
Snow Safety — Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the next 24 hours. Please be extra cautious as you walk down to the entrance. There might be black ice as the snow transitions to freezing rain. Instructors will be shovelling and salting as frequently as possible
